At Garden at The Cellar, we specialize in a style of cuisine that pays homage to bounty of the garden and the seasons of New England. Our menu reflects the time of year and our décor allows you to forget that life outside the door is waiting for spring to be green and fragrant again. The herbs and plants inside our dining room are from local farms and gardens, and our ingredients are fresh and pure.
What can you expect when you visit Garden at The Cellar? Well, we think of ourselves not as a bar or a restaurant but more of a gastropub. A gastropub is a British term for a public house, “pub”, which specializes in high-quality food a step above the more basic “pub grub.” Gastropubs usually have an atmosphere which is relaxed and a focus on offering a particular cuisine prepared as well as it is in the best restaurants. Staying true to the format requires a menu that complements the assortment of beers and wines the gastropub offers. Some describe gastropubs as the Anglo-equivalent of the French brasserie.
